African slaves in the colonial south were to ?

Answered by Guest

About 85 percent lived in the Southern Colonies. Enslaved Africans made up about 40 percent of the Souths population. the growth of slavery allowed plantation farming to expand in South Carolina and Georgia. And because they had more slaves, they could grow more tobacco, rice,or indigo to sell.
Hope this helps :)
